Clerk of Course: Organizes swimmers in chairs by race and lane using a pre-printed heat sheet. Escorts swimmers to start of their race in their appropriate lane.

Runner: Responsible for getting swimmers to the start of their race, runs the cards from the Clerk of Course for 8 and Under to the timers, picks the results up when times have been recorded and brings them to the computer.
Starter: Calls event number and race that is going to begin, calls swimmers to the start of their race, gives appropriate calls for set up until start signal, asks timers if they are ready for the race, signals when there is a false start and restarts races when necessary.
Stroke & Turn Judge: Responsible for watching an allotted number of lanes at a meet and evaluating swimmer’s strokes for validity. Must know what is required for each stroke and turn in each event.
Timer: Responsible for timing a swimmer in the lane they are assigned. Starts the watch on the starters signal, stops the watch when the swimmer touches the wall at the end of the race and records the time.
