Coaches
My name is Coach Blake and I am looking forward to starting my 5th season as the coach of Meridian Killer Whales! I discovered my love for swimming at the young age of 10 when I joined Hillcrest Country Club swim team. I continued to swim throughout the high school years and even went on to swim competitively at The College of Idaho.
After graduating, I decided to share my passion for swimming with others and began coaching. Over the years, I have coached at various pools and teams, including the Natatorium, Hillcrest Country Club, Sawtooth Masters, and at Boise High School, where we won an Idaho State Championship!
My favorite aspect of coaching is sharing the knowledge and experience that others have taught me over the years, in order to help swimmers improve and achieve their own goals.
My name is Coach Mike. I am excited to start my 4th season coaching with the Meridian Killer Whales! I have been a life long swimmer and currently coach the swim team at Kuna High School. It has always been a life-long goal to share my love of swimming through coaching.
I am excited to share my experience with the team and look forward to helping swimmers excel this season!
I'm Hayley Christopherson and I'm looking forward to a fun summer! Growing up in Texas, I had to learn to swim (or drown) because everyone was always in the water. When we moved to Idaho, my first swim team was the Fairmont Dolphins, but that was a million years ago. Butterfly stroke became my emphasis in High School (I was lucky enough to place at the Idaho State Competition), and I earned money lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons in the summertime. College brought the chance to swim on an Intramural team and coach at a local high school. I've enjoyed being on the assistant coaching staff for Centennial and Rocky Mountain High School swim teams as well. Both of my daughters have been on the Killer Whales team, and I am excited to be back and helping coach for my 2nd season with the Killer Whales!
Hi! I’m Laurie Tingey. This is my 2nd year coaching for Meridian Killer Whales. I have been swimming my whole life both recreationally and competitively. I did swim team through high school and I taught swim and pre comp lessons through college. I have a love of swimming and can’t wait to help the kids develop skills and a love for competitive swim!
