Tomorrow's Meet

Hi Killer Whales,

I am so excited to get our second swim meet underway! We have been working hard the past few days and know that we will see some improved times. I have attached the heat sheet for the meet, which has all of the heat and lane assignments for your swimmers. This meet should go quite a bit faster than last week as the Y team is smaller. Please take a look at the heat sheet and if anything looks off or have questions, feel free to email me at [email protected] or text/call 208-972-7190. You or your swimmer can also always contact a coach at practice tomorrow. For those using the mobile app, the heats sheets will be published prior to the meet once finalized.

Below I have laid out the basic "house-keeping" items. The information on the website is always helpful as well.

Arm Marking: https://meridiankillerwhales.swimtopia.com/arm-mar...

*we will have volunteers available to do this when the swimmer checks in, but parent's can do this as well

TOMORROW'S MEET: The swimmers were told to arrive at 4:00. Please be AT THE WEST YMCA, BOISE CITY AQUATIC CENTER (5959 N Discovery Pl, Boise, ID 83713) on time so that we have everyone warming up by 4:15. The meet starts at 5pm. Please arrive early enough to check in with a coach or board member. Please be aware of where your swimmers are and help them listen for their race numbers and send them at 1st call. Wear your team suit and team cap!

PARENTS: You may come early and set up your awnings and stake them to the ground. For parking, there will be signage out to follow and typically has all the parking on the south side of the building. Reminder for when we have a meet at the Y, there is no access to the Y facility (basketball courts, gym, rock wall, etc)! That said, we are allowed to use the locker rooms and bathrooms as needed. Additionally, please bring snacks but can only be eaten outside. There are bleachers that sit high for viewing your swimmers, but no food can be brought in.

As always, no parents or swimmers on deck with exception to volunteers and swimmers called to their events.

WHAT TO BRING: Swim meets are long but fun! Bring a great attitude, a team attitude. Don't forget: Awning, towels, blanket, extra goggles, SWIM CAP, team suit, camera, water bottles, cooler, camp chairs, Sharpie, sunscreen, book, playing cards, things to do for the kids between events.

VOLUNTEERS: Please be to the deck by 4:30 to learn your jobs and check in with Angela Spaulding. Wear sunscreen and bring water!

Let's have some fun tomorrow! Go Killer Whales!

This Wednesday, at practice, please pick up your ribbons from a board member at the pool gate. They are sorted by family, and we are excited to get them in your hands. If your cap has broken you can pick up a replacement at this time as well, we'll have a box of them out.
